Clementina’s Birth Story : How the Gentle Birth Method Shaped Two Beautiful Birth Experiences
The Gentle Birth Method was a deeply important part of both of my pregnancies and births, and I honestly can’t imagine having gone through them in the same way without it.
During my first pregnancy in London, I was lucky to experience their support in person through treatments, guidance, and time spent with Gowri and Marina. From the very beginning, I felt held in a way that is quite rare: with kindness, intuition, and a deep respect for women and their bodies. They didn’t just prepare me for birth; they changed the way I felt about it. Instead of fear, I felt curiosity, trust, and even excitement.
When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, their approach to nutrition became an anchor for me. It never felt restrictive or clinical, but rather supportive and empowering. It gave me the sense that I could actively help my body, that I wasn’t just waiting for things to happen; I was participating in the process.
I’ve always been very connected to my body, and their philosophy resonated with me on a deep level. The idea that birth is something you prepare for, like a marathon, stayed with me throughout both pregnancies. It’s not about control, but about care, awareness, and showing up for yourself in the most grounded way possible.
By the time I had my second pregnancy, I was no longer in London, but I stayed close to the method in every way I could: through their supplements, their nutritional guidance, and especially through the online yoga classes with Ingrid. Those moments each week became a space for me to reconnect, both physically and mentally. Even from a distance, I felt supported.
Both of my births were beautiful, powerful experiences that I carry with so much pride. Not because they were “perfect,” but because I felt present, aware, and deeply connected to what was happening. I was able to trust my body, but also to find my voice when it mattered, speaking with clarity and confidence with the medical team, even in moments of uncertainty. That balance between surrender and strength is something I truly believe this method helped me find.
Physically, I felt strong and well throughout both pregnancies. My recoveries were incredibly smooth, and I had no tearing, something I believe was supported by all the small, consistent practices they teach. But beyond the physical, it’s the emotional experience that stays with me: the feeling of having lived something fully, consciously, and with intention.
After my second birth, I also followed their postnatal treatments with Paola in Milan. That experience was transformative in a quieter, but equally powerful way. It forced me to slow down, to take care of myself at a time when it’s so easy to forget. I felt supported as my body found its way back, and the recovery was truly remarkable.
Even their supplements became part of my daily rhythm: Mini G for emotional balance postpartum, and Polbax pollen, which has supported my immune system so consistently.
What the Gentle Birth Method offers is not just a way to prepare for birth; it’s a way to feel more connected to yourself. It reminds you that you can trust your body, but also that you can support it. That you have a role to play in this journey, and that even small, intentional actions matter.
For me, it made all the difference.
